Tony Foote
Born in England, Tony was raised in a Methodist household, but he began attending Anglican Church Services regularly as a young adult.  After several years in the employment of a UK clearing bank, Tony felt the Lord's calling to serve at a Christian Holiday & Conference Centre in Devon. There he joined a busy office team in need of someone with accounting experience.  Upon the completion of an extremely interesting and rewarding twelve months, Tony was invited to join another branch of the Lee Abbey Fellowship based in West London.  Serving the needs of (mainly) foreign students, the Lee Abbey International Students Club provides comfortable, affordable accommodation in a friendly atmosphere.  As a member of the office team, Tony gained more accounting skills as well as hotel administration and receptionist experience.  He also wrote several computer programs as a variety of manual operations were automated.  Tony's involvement in computing continued as he worked for several I/T companies both in the UK and Canada before joining St. Paul's, Nanaimo in February 2010 as parish administrator.

Peter Orme

Born and raised in England, Peter Orme embarked on a love affair in his teens with liturgical music that led him eventually to Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge as organ scholar and thence to London’s Royal Academy of Music. Moving to Canada in 1969, he was successively Director of Music at Ridley College and First United Church in St. Catharines, Ontario. After nearly thirty years as an Anglican priest, the last thirteen of which he spent at St. Anne’s, Toronto, he took an early retirement in 2005 in order to return to his first love, church music, and has been Director of Music at St. Paul’s, Nanaimo since November of that year. Over the years he has played numerous concerts as soloist and accompanist in England, Canada, the United States, and Bermuda. In the past three years he has appeared on several occasions as harpsichordist and organist with various instrumental and choral groups in the Nanaimo area. Peter is an M.A. of Cambridge University, holds an M.Div. from Trinity College, Toronto, is a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music, and a Fellow of the Royal College of Organists.

Heather Lester

I was born in St. John’s, Newfoundland.  I was a member of St. Thomas’s Church, the most easterly Anglican Church in Canada.  I was Sunday school teacher for many years and served as liaison with our Senior Complex.  I was involved with our Children’s Hospital and served on many boards.

In 1995 I moved to Nanaimo, from Sea to Shining Sea.  I became a member of St. Paul’s and shortly after became Verger.  I have loved every minute of my time at St. Paul’s both as a parishioner and an employee.
